Not only is the baked goods a delight, but their menu is forever changing and their service is top-tier. If I could I would start my morning off here daily.
After moving nearby 4 months ago, Nantucket on Fuller has become a weekly stop! We always get a loaf of their garlic parmesan bread and will use it to dip in runny eggs, make grilled cheese sandwiches, or use it to make regular sandwiches (most recent being Thanksgiving leftovers)! We've also had some of their delicious sandwiches, cheesecakes, and always try to run in and snag one of their special weekend baked goods. Service is quick and the staff are so friendly, and everything is priced so well for being made in house. They also have delicious cakes that we love to order for birthdays and events. We had the lemon blueberry cheesecake and red velvet cheesecake today - pic attached. Soooo good!
Just beautiful pastries. I bought basque cheese cake and pumpkin pie. They were delicious.
I've picked up sourdough at this location twice, and both times I was thrilled with the quality of the bread. I appreciate the option of a half loaf, and the bread freezes well too. Don't stop at bread though--the sweet treats are superb, even the gluten-free ones. I recommend getting a chocolate and peanut butter-y bar or puffed rice square.
Grand Rapids loves Nantucket. This location has a giant bakery/dessert case that does disappoint. There is always something delicious to pick from! Whether you want to try something new or grab your favorite stand-by, this is an excellent spot to place into your bakery rotation. Vegan, GF options are always available too. Do NOT skip out on Nantucket's incredible sourdough bread. They have rotating flavors throughout the week so you can switch it up!
I have always love the baked treats from Nantucket, but I recently ordered a cake from them for my friend's birthday and was also blown away! I ordered the cake online, and then Nantucket called me back following my online order. They were able to work with me to get the exact design I was looking for. This Strawberries and Cream cake itself was delicious, and even after the birthday party there was always a trail of crumbs coming from the fridge as my roommate and I could not stop eating the leftovers!
I always stop into Nantucket whenever I am next door for an appointment. Their bread is SO good! The cranberry walnut and any of the sourdoughs are my go to. Their dessert case is always enticing, I usually grab a cookie or something else sweet for my kiddos while I'm there. They offer everything from cakes, cupcakes, pastries, cookies, and more. They also off hot, savory options, as well. There are pizzas, flat breads, sandwiches, paninis, etc. They always look amazing! Love their selection of prepackaged items - crackers, breads, etc. So many options. They do have a day old table when you walk in, too. However, I'm usually too late when I get there around 1pm! They also have a cooler next to the counter with drinks, butters, and some goodies. Definitely worth stopping in for a visit - you'll leave with some deliciousness!
If there is a place in the area that can bake a better French baguette, I haven't found it in all the years I have lived here. Not only is their prosciutto, brie, and jam baguette the best I've had, I also tried their ham and Gruyère croissant and it is out of this world. Service is phenomenal, everyone is very friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality that you get.
This was my first time at Nantucket Baking. I'd heard so much about this bakery since I've moved here, and I decided it was finally time that I tried it. Well, honestly, I tried it because my friend saw on Instagram that Nantucket had just come out with a special pastry called Yuzu passion fruit. It looked so beautiful in the picture that we had to try it. I got a breakfast flat bread slice and they use a passion fruit. Let me tell you, I went at around 9:00 AM on a Saturday, and there was already a long line. Not for the Yuzu, but just for the pastries in general! The Yuzu passion fruit pastry was really good. It was so beautiful!! I could tell it was really well done and a lot of care and time went into it. Some thing I did appreciate was that it was not overly sweet. It was definitely was a unique pastry. The croissant was just a perfect touch of crispiness and softness. The colors made the pastry look so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. I also got the flatbread slice - it had bacon, an egg, and other breakfast things on it. It was really filling! The bread itself was a nice texture and amount. I split it with a friend, and was still full after. Flatbread was $5, and Yuzu croissant was $8. Service was great - the people behind the counter were so nice and patient. Overall, a really nice vibe, and I can see why it is such a well loved place by locals. There is more like a drop by and pick up your food to go. No place to sit down to eat, but enough places to park.
